What's on Your Horizon?

I have 3 cards to share today!!!  One with a sneak peak from the Summer Mini and a few with retiring goodies!

The Birthday Pop Prints paper has a really cool skyline print.  It was intended to go with the super hero stamps that are just not quite my style even though they are so on trend right now!!!  I challenged myself to use that paper for a few card designs!  Here is what I came up with!

The Huge Hello is a new die coming in the Summer Mini that starts April 1- email me if you want a catalog.  This die is so much fun to work with!

This one uses the Designer Frames Die

This one uses the Everyday Script bundle- which is also retiring! The whip cream background has clouds embossed- its hard to see in the picture.

This Birthday Pop Prints designer paper retires at the end of this month.  Along with YAY.  and these other items:

Getting Scrappy with Fun Stampers Journey

Yup- you guessed it YAY goes great on scrapbook pages too!  This was the last day before the Christmas break and it was ugly sweater day for my kids.
Sydney doesn't really have anything ugly! LOL

The fact that I even got this picture was a Christmas miracle in itself!!!

Stamps: YAy bundle
Paper: Christmas Prints, Kiwi Slice, Cranberry Bliss,
Ink: Kiwi Slice
Accessories: Buttons, circle punches, Wooden stars(retired from my mystery box), Rainbow drops, Bloom stars (bloom benefit), Cool Parade Journey washi tape

7 ways to add more Yay to your day!

Remember the cards I made using the Journey Gel Press?  Well this was an extra background That I didn't use for a card, but instead stamped YAY in the outline stamp and then die cut.

The letters are filled in with journey glaze and the background whip cream panel is sprayed with citrus cooler splash and I splattered beach ball and bubblegum silks.  Oh so fun!

Here are the 7 ways to use this stamp:
  1. Yay its your Birthday!
  2. Yay Its Your Day!
  3. Yay So excited for you!
  4. Yay you're amazing
  5. Yay, a new Baby
  6. Yay for you!
  7. Yay You did it!

Check your stash of sentiments.  I bet you have Lots that work with this set!

Stamps: YAY bundle, must have sentiments
Paper: Whip Cream
Ink: Black

This card was for a team color challenge and its so much fun!  But there is some sad news: this cute little YAY bundle is retiring at the end of this month.  NO NO NO!!  So I will be featuring the next few blog posts using this adorable AFORDABLE bundle.  It just $17.00!

Make a Wish!

How cute is this?

I used the Journey Gel Press and Sweet Berry, tangerine Fusion and Huckleberry Fusion re-inkers.  I placed a few color dots onto the Gel Press then mixed up the colors with the Brayer. Surprisingly EASY!!!

But there are a few more steps....

Then, instead of just plain whip cream card stock I used and embossed panel (happy Birthday bash). and pressed it into the Journey Gel Press. That lifted the color for the words.  Then I used a plain whip cream panel and pressed into the gel press for the negative image.

It Turned out amazing!  Another one of a kind!

Stamps: Lets Eat Cake
Paper: Whip Cream, Oatmeal cookie, Huckleberry Fusion
Ink: Huckleberry Fusion
Accessories: Fashion Silver, Journey gel press, copic markers for coloring, glitter, re-inkers

In Honor of Jake

I made this a few weeks ago mostly because I love the picture and I love Jake.  His adorable face has graced many of my scrap pages through the years!

Many of you have followed me here for many years here on the blog and you know how much I love my Poodles.  Lexy and Jake were litter mates and for 12 years were the best dogs ever!!  Last August we lost Lexy to a stroke- where she lost the functioning of her tongue and could no longer eat.

This past Tuesday we said goodbye to Jake.

He also was no longer eating, having seizures and very much a senior dog.  He was so special.  I loved him from the fist day I saw him when his face said "pick me" in the breeders basement.  He is the reason why we had 2 standards.  I was his human!

His favorite things were treats, cookies, walks, playing ball and the UPS and Mail Trucks. He went crazy over those trucks! Im sure all of those things are over that rainbow bridge for him!!!

So now we love Thomas and Zoe extra!  Here an Updated shot of my 2 smaller fur babies. We are all a little sad!

The Journey Gel Press

This is my 2nd card from the backgrounds I made with the Journey Gel Press

Like the previous card, I used the Journey Gel Press and Sweet Berry and tangerine Fusion re-inkers.  I placed a few color dots onto the Gel Press then mixed up the colors with the Brayer. Surprisingly EASY!!!

One of a kind!

Ink: Black Licorice plus reindeers of Sweet Berry and Tangerine Fusion.

ooohhh- cookies

So I tried a new stamping toy.  The Fun Stampers Journey Gel Press.  This thing has been in my stamp room since October- I finally tried it.  I made a bunch of backgrounds and here is one of my first cards

I used the Journey Gel Press and Sweet Berry, Huckleberry Fusion and tangerine Fusion re-inkers.  Place a few color dots onto the Gel Press then mix up the colors with the Brayer. EASY!!!  Then, I took a piece of whip cream card stock and pressed it into the Journey Gel Press for this fun colorful background.  It Turned out amazing!  One of a kind!
I will be sharing a few more gel press cards this week. Stay tuned.
