Clean & simple quest

So the 2 layer swap card for founders circle is REAL challenge.  (Maybe I am over counting a layer or 3)  So this week I am making a bunch of CAS (clean and simple) cards in an effort to get to the 2 layer requirement.  Its harder than you think!

Attempt #1  baby cards.  I placed in the top 30 in my big Stampin' Team, The RemARKables.  So I got a free stamp a few days ago. (Thanks Jan!)  Decided to ink it up right away!

Well, they of course are way cuter in real life!  what do you think?

Stamps:  Two By Two, Itty Bitty banners
Paper: Bashful Blue, Pretty in Pink
Ink: Same
Accessories: Perfect Polkadot folder, mini brads, dazzling detials

Chapstick Holder

I have seen these made, could not wait to try one!  Such a cute project!

I scored the framelit on each side of the point, about the size of the chap-stick.  I did not measure.  there is a scrap piece of card stock on the inside as a wrap, scored the same way, around the chap-stick.

Stamps: Owl Occasions, teeny tiny wishes
Paper: Early espresso, retired DSP
Ink: Markers
Accessories: pink satin ribbon(retired), labels framelit collection, Simply scored

Last day of Fabric projects- the Envelope

Another project from Convention! Fabric Envelopes!  I made these with Summer Smooches Fabric!

Super easy and no sew!!!

Inside is a collection of 4 Summer Smooches cards and envelopes.

Start with your fabric cut to 11.75 x 11.75, a piece of 12 x 12 coordinating card stock (not pictured) and a sheet of the  Multi purpose adhesive sheets. (page 160 of the big book)

Adhere your Multipurpose adhesive sheet to the card stock first!  then peel off the backing and attach your fabric.  be warned those those sheets are sticky!!!!

after attaching your fabric, trim the whole thing to 11 x 11 square.  I went bigger on the fabric to allow wiggle room as it is super hard to get it on perfectly straight.

Nice clean cuts!!!  turnover and using your diagonal plate, score at 4.25 and 6.25.

trim off the little triangles.   fold to form your envelope.  I used sticky strip to close it up!

The belly band is two pieces of 2 x 12 Summer Smooches DSP fit together.

For the Flower Embellishment:

you will need a 3 x 27 (long length of the fabric fat quarter).  Fold in half, tie a knot and twist & smash into the jumbo sticky round.  The picture is on the back of the package of the sticky rounds!

Then I just stuck it to the Flower folds die cuts and hot glued on the button!  EASY!  Love these!!!!

Be back tomorrow, its the 1st day of school and I'm going to make some cookies!  Hope you liked the fabric projects!

Worthy of a re-share

I pretty much never repost or re-share,  in light of Fabric this one is so worth it.  Especially since this EXACT fabric is STILL ON SALE on the clearance rack for just $0.99.  thats practically free in this economy!

Ladies, you can make these!  My daughter, last year, made 3 for her teachers!   cut your fabric to 3 x3 squares, fold and pin!!  Hot glue the ribbon and done!  These rock in any fabric and have a SUPER WOW response when the recipient get it!

and here is the video.  This is what my daughter watched 2 times to learn how to do it  She is 9!  Really fun!!!

Tomorrow is the last day of fabric project week and its a good one, its another great gift idea!

Fabric Day 4 - The Gift Jar

I love to give handmade gifts.  And since canning jars are all the rage and and baking is so much fun, I decorated a cookie mix in a jar!  You can do soups, drinks, cupcakes, favors, bath scrubs and all sorts of cute things in Mason Jars!

This was so easy! trace a salad plate on the back of fabric (about 9 inch circle) and attach to filled jar with a rubber band!  Decorate!

You can see all sorts of Mason Jar ideas from Tip Junkie HERE

ETA:  Here is another link if the one above is not working:

Decorate your Snips- Fabric Day 3

Another project inspired from Convetion!

I hot glued the button

Flowers are cut with the Fun Flowers die

Fabric adhesive roll and Felt.  then Die cut with the petal cone die.

Laura Milligan has a great video with instructions.  you can see it HERE

She gives you step by step instructions on how to iron, cut and sew.  if I can do it you can do it!!!!

Fabric Treat & Gift Holders

These were inspired by Laura Milligan's presentation at Convention
I am not a quilter or anything even close, but I can sew a straight line. (you can also use some fabric glue for these too)

A chocolate pouch:

Fabric is cut to 9 x 7.5, folded in half and sewn. (4.5 x 7.5)   I also sewed on the seam binding.  Yes! this is a BIG step for me.  Like I said its those pre-loaded bobbins that help!

this one is the same size as the one above:

look what is inside: a mini frame.  A gift card would also fit.

and now for the LARGER BAG:

TWO 9 x 7.5 pieces sewn together:

and inside:  some super cute no layer Happy Hour note cards

See you tomorrow, thanks for stopping by today!
