My Christmas card

For the past 2 years I have been making a WOW Family Christmas card. I only Make about 20-25....and send them out to some of my Friends and Family.

This was the original. The only change on the 20+ cards I made was I used the sizzlit die for the buttons instead of the kraft corduroy buttons. They were a better fit in the envelope to mail then the actual cord button. Now I need to find a use for the 4 packs of buttons I ordered!!!

ETA: 5.25 x 12, scored at 4 and 8. measure in 1" in and down and snip corners

Recipe:
Stamps: Christmas greeting, Sweet Season
Paper: Christmas Cocoa dsp, soft suede, real red, whisper white
Ink: soft suede and real red
Accessories: snowflake and wide oval punch, ribbon, silver cord, and the button sizzlit

Merry Christmas to all of you and your families!- we made the drive to Florida in 15 hours! off to enjoy some holiday shopping at hobby lobby today and maybe after Christmas too!!!

Are you in the Clear????

Over the past few years, there has been enormous demand from demonstrators and customers alike for a line of repositionable clear-mount stamps. Well, you asked for it, and now you have it! Starting with stamps in the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalogue and 2010 Sale-A-Bration brochure, Stampin' Up! now offers our exclusive stamp art in both traditional wood-mount, and the new clear-mount options.

Our new clear-mount rubber stamps are the result of extensive research with the intent to maintain the very best image quality in the stamping industry, while at the same time offering the ease-of-use and storability inherent in repositionable clear-mount rubber stamps.

Clear-Mount Rubber Stamp Features
  • Nine different sizes of clear blocks available individually or as a discounted bundle.
  • Blocks have ergonomic grooves on all four sides for easy grip and traditional wood-mount feel.
  • Stamps and blocks are durable and easy to clean with your Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist.
  • Optional image labels on stamp backs let you decide if you want to see the image through the block or not.
  • Tight die-cutting for easy image positioning.
  • Large clear blocks can be used to create collages or spell words with alphabet sets.
  • Stamps store easily in standard, DVD-type cases with artwork on front and spine, making organization easy.
OMGoodness-- its a bit of an adjustment..from mounted to unmounted. But they stamp the same as wood! SERIOUSLY!!!! I LOVE HAVING BOTH OPTIONS!!!!!

How about some Holiday Home Decor?

This is the Level 2 Hostess Decor Element Dasher! Please disregard the blue wall paper I'm redecorating this room after the holidays!

Dasher is rubbed on the inexpensive canvas boards from the Craft store. its a challenge to get him to stick-- I think I may have broke a sweat-- but once he is stuck-- he's on there!

Tied ribbon and bells on his neck:

added glue and tinsel glitter (non SU) for the snow.

Frame is also from the craft store. right off the shelf!

Happy Holiday Decorating!

oohhh YUMMY-but not a card...

Christmas cards- Check
Teacher gifts-Check (thank goodness for my 12 days of christmas stamping treats!!!)
several type of cookies- check
gifts- check
laundry- check

HERE is what I baked this morning

Jelly cookies! YUMMMMMMMMYYYYYYY!
Jill's Jelly cookies

Raspberry Star cookies-- My most requested!

1 cup of butter, softened
1/2 cup +2 tablespoons of white sugar
2-1/4 cups all purpose flour
pinch of salt
1 cup(jar) or seedless raspberry jam

icing

1 cup confectioners sugar
2 tsp almond extract
2-3 tsp water (or more)
drizzle over cookies

preheat oven to 350
cream together the butter and sugar till smooth
combine flour and salt, stir into creamed mixture
roll the dough to 1" balls
press to 3/8" thickness ( i use a glass cup)
indent the cookies with the back of the spoon, thumb or the pampered chef tart maker
place a small amount of jam into each cookie
bake for 10-12 minutes
let sit on cookie sheet for 2 minutes then cool on a wire rack
In a small bowl mix together the confectioners sugar and almond extract to form a gaze. add water a tsp at a time if the mixture is too thick to drizzle. I use a icing bag (or a ziploc bag, corner snipped off) to pipe the drizzle on so its perfect!

double this recipe it only makes about 24 cookies

A Holiday Stamping Party

For the 2nd year in a row I provided a "stamp camp to go" for my friend Abbe's Holiday Party. Look what she and her guests made:

The hot cocoa cone and Snowman tag:

The recipe for the Hot cocoa can be found HERE and it's YUMMY!!! There are 2 pastry bags in this cone. one to hold the hot chocolate (approx 3.4 cup) and then its inside the 2nd pastry cone to ensure the marshmallows (1/2 cup) stay clean & white. this was my favorite project!

The Fancy Favor tote and 3x3 gift cards

I used the Sparkly & bright stamp set and some cute retired holiday dsp I just ordered last week!

the Nugget tin and 6 holiday tags:

these were so cute too ! Every one LOVED the projects and had a blast! and there was some amazingly great creativity in the room! Thanks Abbe! Hugs to you!

Build-A-Bear is today! off to get ready!

Club card-a little late

I can not believe I forgot to post this!

This card is CASED from KristaTracy on Splitcoast. I LOVED this simplicity of this card. Oh & I mean cased- 100% copy & stole everything for this card. She did a FAB job! its 3 punched ornaments together. oops - my cord is lopsided!

My Club girls got a bonus card this month as well....I wanted them to try a corduroy button (or brad). this card is also very simple. I stamped using circle circus to make a small piece of patterned paper. Stamp in black and add a black sentiment and you can bring another color. EASY. such a great way to use just a little bit of designer paper and keep the main focus of the card the button.

Recipe:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny wishes
Paper: crushed curry, night of navy
Ink: same
Accessories: summer sun corduroy button
