I entered, but did not win

The SU Artisan Award, that is!  Had a blast making these projects and I loved how it pushed me out of my comfort zone.  Look for them on the display boards at convention.  I will share this week what I made.

another OSW

Finally finished the last 2 cards of the OSW made from a 6x6 piece of paper.  See THIS POST for the template and another version.

Paper:  Sweet slumber, baja breeze, riding hood red

Ink:  Black, baja breeze

Accessories:  brads, flower embosslit, sponge, dimensionals, ribbon, texturz plates, cord button

Glass etching

Not bad for my 1st time!  Don't look to close as you will see this mistakes...LOL

Cut the H with my big shot serif alphabet die and some plain old contact paper.  the circle is made with my circle scissor plus, also out of contact paper.  (kitchen organization aisle at Target)

Glass etching can be purchased at the local craft store.  it comes with instructions.  I attached the embellishments to the Jar with glue dots

Birthday gift card holder

Sometimes all you need is a sentiment and pretty paper.

 This gift card holder is 4-1/4 x 9 scored at 3 and at 7-1/4.  I love making these!

Stamped in white craft ink.  I kept it simple.  can you believe no embellishments????  I love love love this set!  so elegant with very little effort.

Manchester Masculine

the lucky recipient of this card was my Nephew.  He is now 19.  Pretty suitable for a 19 year old right??

I stamped and decorated the inside but for got to take the picture.

Top Note purse

I have seen this style card so many times I thought I would try my hand at it.  I like it!  the SU double sided designer papers make the purse quite fashionable when you fold over the top note.

I love the large vanilla brad with a rub on it as the purse closure.  and the handle surely needs a bow!!!

Emergency birthday card kit & Etsy

I took Part of April's Birthday card kit and converted it into Emergency Birthday card kit. The 8 cards fit into the gift bag and make a great gift.  

There are a few of these finished kits available in My brand new Etsy store.  I will be adding some projects seen here on my blog,  some of my classes and some kits exclusive to my Etsy store.  All projects will be completed.

Club Member gifts

Last month I had a Stampers 10 club complete.  This was their Thank You gift for being in the club.  Big hugs to them all for being part of my club and a part of my Stampin' Up! business.

this post it note holder is made from an acrylic 4x6 frame ( I got mine at Target)

the mini gel pens are from Staples.  I also gave the girls colored ones from the Target dollar spot.  the Pen holder is a scrap strip of celery paper scored every 1/2" to form the holder and then attached to the frame.

This was cased from an Artisan Award project a few months back.

Its Uncle Bob's Birthday

And this is my card that I made for him.  Hope it made it there safely.  If you follow me on twitter you may have noticed that I was playing with this die the other day.  I finished it last night and mailed it!  

Not bad I might say for my 1st pop up.  My cake sorta "fell" when I smushed the card to close it.  I think I had too many card stock layers.  I did manage to stuff it in an envelope and mail it but it was a bit thick.  BUT SOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!

I am playing with some other designs- should be fun to see them.  

Some of my thoughts on the die:  Positives:  very easy to use.  very easy and relatively quick to assemble.  major wow effect, major creative options.  

Negatives- Keep in mind this was my 1st card ....it did not close all the way but my cake was designed in a lot of thick card stock.  it was hard to stand it up for the picture.   my cake looked really good, even after closing the card,  but the inside layers on the cake were a little low.  other than that I really liked it.  

verdict- FUN!!! I will for sure make More to perfect it!

6x6 workshop pages

I have a workshop today....such fun!  The hostess requested 6x6 scrap pages (Hi Terry!!!)  Hope she likes what I came up with!

This one has 2 options.  If the guest wants a card instead of a scrap page- she can use the same supplies and turn it into a card.  My daughter and Zoe are cute Huh????

I have been a very busy girl.  Lots of designing for various Stampin Up! events and contests! PLUS the new puppy is like having a toddler back in my house!   I will share everything once I am able!  

This is my newest class, the 1st in a 6 part "2DIE4"  series.  Each class features a die for the big shot or the Cuttlebug.  this one is the Exclusive Stampin Up! die. Beautiful butterflies.

A Thank You note card set

I made these a while back for a quarter auction I participated in....

A simple layout using up some of my extra Urban Garden designer paper. I made a cute box to go with this but never took a picture of it. (sigh)

Stamps: A little somethin

this is the reason I got the puppy. Are these sweeties the cutest ever. I just could not say now to getting one. Zoe is on the right. The 2 on the left now live with my parents. They went for Maxine (she is in the middle) and they fell in love with the lightest one Jack as soon as they saw him!

DON'T FORGET : Send MOM some flowers for Mothers day!

This was a try a new technique over on SplitCoastStampers.  BE WARNED  these are addicting!!!  I used embosslits but the possibilities are endless ....stamped images, punches, the pretties kit, etc etc   TIP:  Make sure you measure the complete length of your insert to be 5-1/2 tall.  if you place the flowers to high it will not fit in the envelope.  all of my flowers are sponged in rose red ink and adhered with dimensionals.  

I changed the dimensions slightly to fit in the envelope better.

ETA:  8.5 x 3.5 scored at 3.5 and 7
