Specs for the Holiday top note critters & pull out card

Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday I sure did!

a big thanks goes out to all those that took the time to email me and ask questions about the top note creations for the Holiday gang. Here goes:

Elf: Hat is an Old Olive top note hand cut to make the hat droop down. Pompom is 3/4" circle. The ric rac trim is made with the scallop edge punch. His shirt is Partial riding hood red top note scallop edge punched. Ears & nose are the 5 petal flower punch in blush blossom, Eyes are 3/4" white & 1/2 inch black. lids are just a 3/4" circle cut in half. His cheeks are sponge daubered in Pink Pirouette and I sponged his face & features on the edges with blush blossom.

Snowman: White top note. The hat is a partial black top note and the brim is just a strip of cardstock that I corner rounded. The snowflake is a sizzlet and I tied riding hood red ribbon around his hat. There is a button from the button bouquet in the center. Eyes are 3/4" white & 1/2 inch black. lids are just a 3/4" circle cut in half. His cheeks are sponge daubered in Pink Pirouette. his nose is a small oval punch trimmed to look like a carrot. His mouth is 1/4" circle punches.

Reindeer: Close to cocoa top note sponged in chocolate chip. antlers are edges of top notes layers. (I do not have the tulipe die). Nose, Eyes and lids are 1" circles and the black for the eyes is 1/2" circles. Ears are the large oval trimmed.

Santa: Blush blossom top note. His hat was a scrap piece of red I scallop edge punched, but you can also use the pennant die. Eyes are 3/4" and 1/2 inch circles, nose is a 1/2" circle. His moth is a small oval punch. Beard and moustache are top notes. His cheeks are sponge daubered in Pink Pirouette. and his blus blossom features are sponged with blush blossom.

The Grinch: Old olive sponged in old olive. His eyes are 1", 3/4" and 1/2 inch. I colored the whites with a saffron marker. I hand doodled the eye lashes & the smirk. The nose is a 3/4" circle with a 1/4" notch for the nostrils. Red hat is a partial top note and the pompom is a 3/4" circle. The ric rac is made with the scallop edge punch.

Penguin: Black & white top note. small oval, folded in half for the mouth. Eyes are 1/2" circles and the feet are the 5 petal punch. Riding hood red ribbon for the scarf. His wings are the large oval punch.

Gingerbread Cookie: He's a creamy caramel top note sponged with white craft ink. His eyes are 1" and 1/2". His arms and legs are wide ovals cut in half. His cheeks are 1/2" pink pirouette circles and his buttons are 1/4" red circles. His nose is a 1/2" circle.

Where seen, I used the white gel pen to add the twinkle in the eyes.

And for those that had questions about my Holiday photo pull out card....

the base is old Olive and measures 9-1/4 x 4
the Riding Hood Red layer measures 9-1/4 x 3-7/8. I punched this with the scallop edge punch. After punching it measures 9 x 3 7/8

The kraft Envelope is from Stampin Up. its the small open ended ones (item # 110695)

I embossed the edge with a small snowflake with white embossing powder and versamark.

I traced the envelope flap and covered it with designer paper.

The eyelets are set in 3/4 inch circle punch outs with dimensionals underneath them. I tucked the linen thread under the dimensional before adhering so it was adhered.

All of these mail in a standard #10 size business envelope. I have a box of 500 or so from Staples. mine have the peel and stick closure- no licking involved!

The inside measures: 6-1/8 by 3-3/8. I trimmed my 4x6 holiday photo to fit on this panel.

Cookie invite inspiration

I made this card, then tweaked it for my cookie exchange invites.  The sentiment Holiday Wishes is from the Season of Cheer Rub-ons.  Its really hard to read in the photo, but it looks nice in real life.I used red stickles on the gingerbread man's buttons.  It gives them a 3-d effect.

Recipe:
Stamps: Deer friend
Paper:  Kraft, riding hood red, whisper white, Windsor Knot and Holiday Treasures DSP
Accessories:  top note, circle & scallop punches, red stickles

Do you like cookies?

These are the invites for my holiday cookie exchange. I think they turned out pretty stinking cute using the top note as a tent topper. The inside is printed from the computer. I missed my cookie exchange the past 2 years due to crazy hectic schedules....this year I am so excited I actually got it on the schedule and made the invites!

the base of the card is 4.25 x 9.25 and I adjusted the top note, while adhering, so the card is 5.5 inches tall

Recipe:
Stamps: Deer friend, sentiment is from Papertrey ink
Paper: Kraft, riding hood red, whisper white, Chocolate chip and Holiday Treasures DSP
Ink: chocolate chip
Accessories: top note die, red taffeta ribbon, red stickles, scallop & circle punches
