Club Card- Spoiler!!!

Here is a card cased from Debbie Olson of Thinking Inking. This card uses the matching wheel. I pretty much copied the card to a tee! but I used all Stampin Up supplies and changed the sentiment.



I tried and tried to find the card on Debbie's blog- but I gave up after 40 pages and some searches.

How does a Mom do it?

This is completely cased from Lauren Meader. I changed up the Bellas and the orientation-- but the concept is all Lauren's. Us Mom's ...we wear a lot of different hats! Take a look at her card here. Her's has way more thought involved. I just picked a few images that relate to the Mom I made this card for.

Are you thinking that I own everyone of these Bella stamps???? NOT SO! I do own several Bellas but last year I participated in a Bella image swap. I swapped 68 ( yes 68) Dogwalkabellas for various images that were available at the time. Now I dug into my stashed stamped images and pulled some of these out. Check out the swap forum over at Splitcoast to see if there is any going on now.

This is Dress Up Lily. I found her from a link that my friend Elisabeth sent me regarding an adorable Poodle set. Knowing that I have 2 standard Poodles in the house, I just has to check it out. Here are the Poodles.... and here is the Dress Up Lily. and be sure to check out the entire website of Pink Cat Studio. Each set has a gallery! and I also have found through blog surfing that there are some really cute creations on Lauren Meader's Blog as well. I bought this Lily for my daughter. She can dress her up any way she wants when she stamps with me. We made this card together for one of her girlfriends birthday. She picked the colors and accessories, I stamped and assembled. Sometimes she makes her own cards for parties, but for this one we were short on time. Notice the striped dress? all my daughter's design, which is pretty good since she's only 5!

Projects From Stamp Night

This past Wednesday a few friends of mine gathered for our monthly stamp night. Thanks ladies it was super fun as usual! This was one of the cards I made. I borrowed the chicken....which is a GinaK designs stamp. This cute chicken looks great and lined up with some friends too! (See Below) The paper is from K& Company. I went to Michael's on my lunch hour during the week and picked up the Wild Saffron stack. It matches the SU colors PERFECTLY!!! Saffron of course, but also ruby red, chocolate chip, close to cocoa to name a few of the other colors! The "just because" really wasn't covered by the ribbon, only when I took the picture! UGH!

Recipe:

Ink: basic black, chocolate chip

Paper: ruby red, chocolate chip, whisper white and so saffron, K&Co wild saffron dp

Accessories: corner rounder, marvy scallop punches, chocolate chip marker, Prismacolor pencils,OMS (odorless mineral spirits), chocolate taffeta ribbon

No Copics....No Problem!!

WOW- this technique is so fun-- and Pun Fun is a great set for it too! Julie at Paper Pleasing Ideas has a great tutorial: No Copics No Problem and its available in video as well. A big thanks goes out to Julie!!

I tried it, with a little help from my friend Becci, and this was the end result. Major cool coloring here! Let me know if you like it!

paper: taken with teal, green galore, watercolor paper from SU, pattern paper from Junkitz

It's All About Family

These are the faces of my family. Aren't we sweet? My oldest, the pouty one, was annoyed b/c the dogs were not cooperating and in the picture. Hmmm that would be 7 moving objects all in one shot. Impossible!

I'll be sure to post a picture of the dogs one of these days. Lexy (the sister dog) loves paper-- especially Stampin' Up paper or anything to do with stamping paper. She eats cards by the bucket full (definitely can't leave them out and in reach anymore), demonstrator applications, scraps and mini catalogs. arrgghh!

In honor of National Scrapbooking Day- I have made this 6x6 page, It was cased from JanTink. I also made it for a team swap so I hope the girls like it! I don't scrap very often so the pages I do make I feel inclined to share! Enjoy!

First Communion Invites

Its so hard to capture the beauty of this card in a photo.  I cased this from Debbie Olson's Easter Blessing's card- which to no surprise has been "removed for publication".  Hers was absolutely fabulous & stunning.  It was all white with gold embossing.  My son decided (and a few others I asked for feedback) that he wanted color.  So we went with So saffron for the base.  Inside the communion announcement was printed from the computer on white, trimmed and adhered to show a border similar to the front.  No ribbon.  

 This card uses Papertreyink's Every Day Blessings stamp set.  Gold Brilliance ink was used on the solid cross.  Then I stamped the outline cross directly over with versamark and then embossed it with gold ink.  My son liked the 2-tone effect which differed from Debbie's original card of a single gold embossed cross from the same set.

Monogrammed Note cards

Simple and Elegant. I love these cards!! I made them for my friend Diane and they were a perfect excuse to try my new Monogram stamps. While blog surfing I saw these great cards at Sharon's blog No Time To Stamp. They are a Do It Yourself Monogram stamp from JustRite.

I also saw these stamps at Debbie Olsen's blog Thinking Inking and Taylor's amazing stationary on her Blog Taylored Expressions

The stamps come with black ink, but you can purchase pads to ink in colors of your choice. I have decided to take the challenge and use them with black for a while. Lots of colors go with black, right?

I am home- I spent the last 4days in California in the Napa Valley! Wow what a great time. Not much in the wine area-- but definitely a great conference for work. Boy did I learn a lot about Internet marketing!!

I cased this from JanTink-- thought it was cute and wanted to share something quick before the jet lag really kicks in. I don't usually scrap- but this sure was fun!

On a side note: the boys really do look after her!

Featured stamper- From last week

I made this card when "Scrapnextras" on Splitcoast was the featured stamper. Never got to post- since the germs have invaded my home and all 5 of us have been sick for 2 weeks. First the kids then me and my husband! YUK!

And then this morning-- no web, no email, limited web access now-Internet outage through Comcast! Its killing me! I love my computer!

For the card I changed the base card color and the layers. The rest I kept basically the same. I will link to the original card soon, I can't access Splitcoast--arrggghhh!

Project from Stamp night

I had a few friends over to stamp Monday night. It was So much fun!!!! Thanks Becci, Jennett and Karen. I am so looking forward to next month! On Monday I made this card with the spring solitude Stamp set. I decided to make a 6 card set with matching envelopes and use them as a gift. I usually never do single layers but this card was so simple it did not need anything else but the ribbon. Sure is hard to get a good picture of a white card!

Paper: Stampers select white paper from Papertrey (nice and thick for white single layer cards)

Ink: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky

accessories: Close to cocoa and old olive marker for the Branch, Paper piercer for the eye of the bird. Wide grosgrain ribbon in old olive, clear box from Papertrey ink.
