Birthday Cupcake

This is a new set for me, Big Bold Birthday. I won this set as part of a team competition last fall. I finally inked it up and had some fun. The scallop with the hodgepodge hardware tied to the ribbon is inspired by Beate. She has this on quite a few of her beautiful cards!


Recipe:

Paper: certainly celery, purely pomegranate, so saffron and Cutie Pie DP

Ink: certainly celery, purely pomegranate, so saffron, bashful blue

Accessories: certainly celery ribbon, Hodge Podge hardware, paper piercer, scallop punch, circles punches, ticket corner punch, brads, stickles

The Friend-Ship sets sail

I completely cased this card because I fell in love with this one HERE. I changed it up a little but I love the cuttlebug background that goes with the buoys on the ship and the waves of water that I made with scallop scissors. I added the puppies from Loads of Love accessories since I thought they looked like a group of puppy friends. I colored the boat with a blender pen and ink from the lids of the stamp pads. I don't have a Sahara Sand ink pad so I used a complimentary color from CTMH. I hope you like it!

Recipe:

Stamps: Boatloads of Love, Loads of Love accessories.

Paper: Sahara Sand, Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi and whisper white.

Ink: basic black.

Accessories: Word window punch, silver brads, cuttlebug, scallop scissors, blender pen and ink for the lids of the wasabi, blue bayou, and CTMH desert sand ink pads. Creamy Caramel & Chocolate chip markers for the pups and anchor. Crystal Effects for the boat windows. dimensionals for the puffs of smoke.

Coaster Calendar

Here is another coaster calendar. These whip up in minutes- using scraps and a 4 inch square pieces of designer paper. This paper is from the creative license simply scrapping kit. I attached 2 coaster together with jumbo eyelets and tied them with wasabi stitched ribbon. I inked the edges with wasabi ink to hide the seams of the coaster. The Mouse Friend

Here is a close up of one of the cards in my Be My Valentine Class. This set can be used so much more than Valentines Day. I am going to work on that this week. So stay tuned for some cute cards!

accessories: water brush for coloring the elephant soft sky, 1 inch circle punch, markers in celery & regal rose, wide grosgrain ribbon in rose. I have since added glitter to the flower and to the heart on the elephants nose.

A Mouse is in my House!

I just love this little guy and this stamp set. This was a card that my club members received this month. I prepared it as a kit and included it with their orders. I left the coloring off the card just in case they wanted to switch the colors or change it around. I hope they had fun with it. Almost everyone has a their club orders now ...except Becci and Karen- sorry to spoil your surprise! This layout is great- and goes with many many cards and stamps sets.

For a sweet new baby

My Boss is having a baby...well his wife is, so by default he is too! She's due in about 2 weeks and they opted to be surprised. We had a surprise baby shower at work today (yum cake!). In addition to his shower gifts, I gave him this box of 8 baby Thanks Yous. I know with the 1st-- you get tons of gifts and these surely will come in handy!!! I give all credit to my design to Veramats. I completely cased here card seen HERE. I was so lucky to have 1/2 of a sheet left of this designer paper!

I am not a huge fan of gender neutral cards...BUT I can't wait to find out what they have! I already have a few ideas for each gender swirling in my head! what fun!

For the Love Birds

This is one of the club cards for my Stampers 6 group. Do you like it?

This card was so much fun to make- and is WAY better in real life!! The oval stamp under the birds were made from a scrap piece of rubber. I separated it from the foam and punched it with the Stampin' Up! small oval punch. Then I re-mounted it it on foam cling and stamp with it on an acrylic block.

I am always looking for new stampers to start another club- Let me know if you are interested. I have a long distance option as well!

Two Boys & A Girl

Are these adorable or what? they are 3x3 valentine's that I used some scraps on. Love them!!! and so do the kids. Each heart that the mouse is holding was paper pieced. Love the effect!

Gift Bag & Tag

I made this gift Bag and tag for my Friend Jen. Her birthday was in December I gave her a nice handmade gift as well.

This is a store bought pink gift bag. I added the chocolate brown "Loves Me" designer paper from last year and some matching pink card stock. I dusted off my "Unfrogettable" stamp set and added him to the tag. The tag is attached with a jumbo eyelet and the cropadile. I totally cased this gift bag from Stampin Gal Val. Quick & Easy Coaster Calendar

I made a few of these this past week. This one was made with Cutie pie paper and a Stampin' Up! Glue stick. I printed the calenders from my computer and trimmed them. You can find the template for the calendars HERE. I attached jumbo eyelets and tied them with wild wasabi stitched ribbon. embellishments are rhinestone brads and the tab punch with daily notes from the office accoutrement set. These are so easy to make!

I gave myself a Blog makeover!

Do you like it? I digi scrapped the banner and taught myself some HTML code to change the colors in my template. Let me know what you think!

More Lunch tins!

I made these 2 tins for my Mother in law and my Sister in law. My 2nd sister in law got one as well but I did not take a picture (gasp!) I know, I should have taken the picture- but I swear the modge podge was drying as she was pulling in the driveway!

I also did not take a picture of the inside. (gasp!) Each tin had the inside of the lid covered with matching designer paper. There were 6 coordinating tabs/dividers. I used the retired Riveting hostess set from last year. This example will give you a good idea: Click HERE I left off the brads, but the 6 categories worked pretty well for the cards, and I added 6 misc. cards in the back of the tabs as extras since they did not have a specific category.

These gifts were such a hit! Each one of my relatives pulled the cards out to admire each one. I don't know about you, but I have over 100+ cards. I make them and throw them in the basket. this was a perfect way for me to unload my less than favorites and let many others enjoy the cards. I am hoping they don't hoard them! This year I am much better at making and sending them but I still have a good stash! Next year, they will get a refill pack if I have enough cards.

More gifts- Lunch tins

I have had these tins for many, many months. 7 of them to be exact. I stocked up and had intentions last year to alter them and give them as gifts. Now 12+ months have gone by and this year....YES I DID IT!!!! I altered 5 tins and filled them with various cards and envelopes and gave them to family members this Christmas. They were a huge hit! For all you SU demos-- this is a great way to use up some retired paper. First I pre-cut 5 sets of paper. made templates and created a modge podge assembly line to cover them. I put modge podge on both sides of the paper. The Pink one was for my sister and the yellow one for my Mom.

I only took pictures of 4 of the tins- 2 more to show tomorrow.

Items used: petals and prints paper, provo craft lunch tins, various embellishments, pretties kit, the letters are Close to my Heart but I am not sure which set.

Happy Heart Day- Again

This was my 1st attempt at Mary Jo's sketch challenge from the other day. I saw this scrap on the floor of Cutie pie paper and just had to use it. The heart is colored with pomegranate ink with a blender pen...and then I colored it a 2nd time with the sakura star dust pen. its very sparkly and matches the cutie pie paper exactly-- even though the picture doesn't show it. the mouse is water colored for his face, but the rest is colored with markers. He is too cute!!!

Chipboard Birthday

This was the birthday card I made for my Dad. His birthday is New Year's Eve, but we celebrate it on New Year's Day. I think I did OK with making it masculine and I love the chipboard star. Its cover with night of navy craft ink. I punched a hole with the crop-a-dile and tied the cranberry ribbon on. This is part of my new year's resolution: to use chipboard ( I have tons of it!)

New Toys Challenge & Blog Candy Update

This card is for a Stamp Simply Challenge #15 to use your new toys from Sharon Johnson's No Time to Stamp blog. She has some amazing cards and this was just the challenge I needed to use my new Eastern Elegance Stampin' Up! rub-ons and stick to my New Year's resolution- no hoarding allowed and use items before they retire
