BOHO West class

So, have you been wondering what I have been up to lately? I have finished the projects for my next class following the theme of BOHO West on pages 4 and 5 of the Stampin Up Fall/Winter catalog. You can view that page HERE.

There are 6 Projects for the class including 4 cards, an On Board Art Journal and a treat box. All of these projects have beautiful Fall colors. The treat box can be used for a gift for a friend and the art journal can be used to keep record of birthdays, addresses or even converted into a mini scrapbook. I look forward to hearing from you.

Birthday Wishes for you!

This is a pre-packaged SU gift card holder in so saffron. And guess what? they are so easy to decorate and embellish with your scraps. I had a few pieces of the K& Co paper in my scrap bin, some of it was doublesided. I added the cupcake and the "Wish Big" from Short and Sweet stamp set and I have gift card holder. The jumbo brad is non-SU. The cupcake icing is colored in with the white gel pen. The ink colors are blue bayou and rose red to match the paper. The focal point is made with the scallop punch, the 1 3/8 and the 1 1/4 inch circle punches, and the Think Happy Thoughts stamp set. Ribbon was also from the overflowing ziplock full of ribbon scraps. Do any of you have one of them?

Cutie Pie Criss Cross

Here is another criss cross card that I made with the SU simply said stamp set and the cutie pie paper. These cards are really fun and easy to put together with the double sided designer series paper! The sentiment is punched with the scallop punch, then layered with circles. the "for you" is from fundamental phrases. At the tip I used the the tab punch and a jumbo silver brad (non-SU) and a few self adhesive die cuts from my build a flower tin. The flowers are stamped in black and colored with matching markers. The thank you sentiment is stamped in Purely pomegranate. I used purely pomegranate, bashful blue and whisper white card stock. The double stitched ribbon is also purely pomegranate to match. Enjoy!

More Punch Pals

This is a tag for a Christmas swap I did with my girlfriends. The Penguin carrying the presents on the tree is case from Convention. The faux Silver brads is the SU zig painty pen. The paper and the ribbon is non-SU. The image s colored with various markers to match. I hand doodled the snow. That's the new photo corner punch from SU. I used a small white eyelet for the hole for the ribbon because its giving me a good reason to play with my crop-a-dile!

This one is a case from a card at Convention. I used a real red strip of paper, instead of red ribbon. I added the light blue and sliver holiday ribbon near the image. The basic layout and snow coming down into the white image was copied from a convention sample. The Old Olive is also part of the convention card, but I left off the paper piercing. The base of the card is bashful blue and the penguins are colored with the watercolor crayons. Merry Christmas is from All Holidays. Tip: Use a black marker on the hat from the snowman 1st, the add the penguin. It's much easier to line up.

This card is a blatant case from the talent I see at SCS. Thanks for the ideas. I used last years holiday paper with bashful blue and white card stock. This years paper is wintergreen. I also used white wide grosgrain from the craft store under the scallop punch. Merry Christmas is from All Holidays. This penguin was colored with markers.

This set was fun! I am giving all of these cards to my Mom. I think the Penguin couple from my earlier post and this one look like them! Especially since my sister and I are grown and out of the house. I would need 5 penguins on my cards! 7 if you count the dogs. BTW, My dog ate another one of those "beef laced" SU cards and my new downlines paper work! Thankfully the card was an extra... but still! arrrgggghhhh!

Punch Pals

I went to a friends house and stamped up a bunch of images for the punch pals set. Here are a few of them. If you need any specific ingredients or recipes, please email me (link under my picture) I will be happy to share. Most of the items are random papers and matching card stock I had in my non-Stampin Up stash! This pink and green is very non-traditional Christmas. I really like the more traditional colors- But the shimmery pink snowflake designer paper and the textured bling green cardstock was too much fun not to use.

Stampin Up Regionals

Here's a picture of my team at Stampin Up regionals in Philadelphia last Saturday. In the middle is the Cofounder and CEO of Stampin' Up Shelli Gardner! That's me on the bottom left. and to all the SparkleDivas-- You look fabulous!

Spinner Gift card

This is my version of the Spinner Gift Card that was made at Convention. I made for the Christmas challenge I am in with my friends. These are pre-packaged gift card holders from SU, they come in 3 colors with matching envelopes.

This one is Sahara sand, mixed with real red and bashful blue card stock. The snowman and the window sentiment is from the Punch Pals set. Jingle All the Way is from a retired set. The snowman is water colored with the SU watercolor crayons and the spinner is made with the word window punch, scallop punch, circle punches, dimensionals and some pennies. Very cool! This is the very 1st one I have ever made! The envelope is stamped with "do not open till Christmas" from the Perfect Presentation set.

Can you believe this??? I had 3 of these, and the dog ate one! Yup one of my poodles snatched it off my desk while I was out and chomped it up. Luckily, she just the gift card holder, not the spinner! That SU cardstock must be laced with beef because it's not the 1st card my dog has eaten! So one of my swaps with my girlfriends will be slightly different from the others! (because I used this set while at a friends house.)

Welcome New Baby

I made this for my very good friend. Her baby arrived yesterday and this was the card and matching gift bag I made. As you can tell, I have been really working with the jumbo outline alphabet set-- love the versatility! The paper was a large leftover scrap piece from K&Co stack and was double-sided. I had just enough to do the bag after I made the card. Welcome Baby is from Warm words. I used the ticket corner punch and the tag corner punch (for the tag hanging from the bag). The designer paper is layered with Certainly celery and there are some faux brads made with the white gel pen. White and celery grosgrain ribbon is on both the bag and the card. It was super fun to make this very "personalized" gift set. Mom and baby loved it!!!

Just for You

This is my final creation for the Jumbo Outline Alphabet swap. Its a 3x3 card. I used white, so saffron and celery card stock. The palette of Prints paper in celery. The scallop punch and the 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 circle punches and the I tied a little Purely Pomegranate stitched ribbon. The "Just" and the "For" are from Everyday Flexible Phrases.

Sweet *heart*

She sure is and she's all mine!!! This is a 6x6 brag book page I made for the same Demonstrator swap for the Jumbo Outline Alphabet.

Pretty in Pink and Certainly celery paper with matching ink and markers. Various punches- 7 to be exact...3 circles, scallop, corner rounder, spiral and photo corner. Stamp sets are the Jumbo Outline Alphabet, In the Spotlight and Short & Sweet. Rose ribbon, which I now realize is retired. Hmmm, I may need to update that!

Hello Friend

This is for a swap I am participating in with other SU Demonstrators. The swap focus is on the Jumbo Outline Alphabet that was used quite a bit at convention.

Card base is sage shadow, layered with Rust and Chocolate chip. The Hello is stamped in chocolate chip and colored with SU water color crayons in sage shadow to match. Friend is from fundamental phrases stamped in rust. The circles are dry embossed with the cropadile. and I am in love with the 5/8" wide grosgrain from SU. Are you wondering if I needed a stamp-a-ma-jig? No I did not, just a few extra strips of paper to make up for the mess ups.

BoHo West

A tutorial for this criss cross card was posted on Wednesday over on Splitcoaststampers.com. You can view it HERE. These criss cross cards are so fun and easy to make. I have made 3 so far! This is my BoHo western one using the SU Wanted set. This was a set I got at convention. I never would have purchased it on my own, so I am feeling that I should to learn how to use it. I think this will be one of the components of my BoHo West Class in October.

So there are few accessories I have to call attention to: The new SU jumbo eyelets and the new SU wide grosgrain ribbon. Both are on the pull out tab and on the wrap around band. These really make the card. Chocolate chip and Creamy caramel cardstock. Ink is Chocolate chip, creamy caramel and sage shadow. Chocolate chip wide ribbon. The stamp set is SU Wanted and the Outlaw designer paper.

Side Notes: I did not have 12x12 caramel cardstock for the band, per the tutorial. I improvised and pieced together 2 strips of 8.5x11 the seams are hidden under the scallop and on the edge of the card. I also made the strip 1.25 inches versus 1.5 inches in the instructions.

One Sheet Wonder Class

This is a picture of a One Sheet Wonder class I am holding at the end of the month. All 6 of the cards and the tote is generated from one random stamped sheet of card stock. I used Baroque motifs for the stamp set. Here are my class details:

Re-Vamped Convention Swap Card

This card started as a cardfront I got from Convention. Thank you Timmi Park for this great design. It was just the pomegranate layer as the based. I trimmed it down and mounted it on Black- and it boosted the wow factor. The card itself was a little flat, in my opinion, and by adding that little extra layer it popped out the black elements.

Stamps are Polka dots and Petals, Wonderful Words. Cardstock and ink is purely pomegranate and black. Black grosgrain ribbon, silver brad and a circle punch.

Happy Boo To You

I made this as a start of a SCS multiple part challenge. Never finished the challenge, but here is the card. Its so different! Same Halloween paper as in a few other cards, old olive, taken with teal and black card stock. SU Booglie eyes set, colored with Markers. The sentiment is stamped in Black, sponged in teal and punched with the new SU scallop punch. The tags are layered with pumpkin and black and are not removable. Brads and black gingham ribbon are on the tags.
